It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Aitkens (Readington, New Jersey), born in Englewood, New Jersey, who passed away on March 16, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister June Sauer. He is survived by: his father Gramps; his wife Margaret of Palm Coast; his children, Joyce Aitkens of Palm Coast, Patricia Caballero (Jorge) of Long Valley, N. J., Robert Aitkens (Susan) of Readington, N. J., Laura Keane (Patrick) of Palm Coast and Theresa Deane (Leon) of Hillsborough, N. J; his siblings, Sugar Jachera (Ted) of Marco Island and William Aitkens of Bergenfield, N. J.; his grandchildren, Patrick, Nicholas, Meghan, Daniel, Scott, Ryan, Timothy, Alexander, Rachel, Thomas and Jenna; and his great grandchildren, Aiden and Aria. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Fort Lee Fire Palisade Company No.4, 4 Brinkerhoff Ave., Fort Lee, N.J. 07024.
