He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gentile and Felicetta Gentile (Grella). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Christine Johnson (Dale) of Middlesex and Paul Gentile (Laurie) of Bound Brook; his grandson Aidan Johnson; and his siblings, Carmela Menkens (John) of Bradley Gardens, Grace Smith (Joe) of Fuquay Varina, NC and Angelo Gentile (Bara) of Alachua, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
