She was predeceased by: her parents, George R. Gilkey and Edna Gilkey (Bergman); her close friend Erling George Johnson; her son Erling "Peanut" Neil Johnson; her granddaughter Melissa Johnson; and her sisters, Judy Peper, Madge Gilkey and Barbara Zackert.
She is survived by: her brother George Gilkey (Jane); her children, Richard (Robin Johnson), Randall (Ann Johnson), Robert (Lynne Johnson) and Amy Johnson; her grandchildren, Bethany Fordice (Tyler), Daniel Johnson (Hannah), Rachel Cozzo (Tyler), Ryan Johnson, Thomas Scherzer (Annie), Alexander Scherzer (Tiani) and Mackenzie Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Emma Scherzer, James Johnson and Peter Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
