He is survived by: his wife Claire Murphy (Paris); his sons, Aidan William Murphy and Austin Michael Murphy; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Scott, Noreen MacConchie, AnnMarie Matthews and Margaret Lay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
