Joseph Contrino Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Contrino (Rahway, New Jersey), born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Contrino and Sarah Contrino; and his siblings, Dominick Contrino (Elaine), Richard Contrino (Dolores), John Contrino (Eileen), James Contrino, Carmen Contrino (Chuck), Carmella Contrino, Patricia Tuday (Stephen Tuday), Stella Mariucci (Frank) and Rose (Joseph).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Dowling Contrino; his son Joseph Contrino Jr. (Jill Youens); his granddaughter Nicole Elizabeth Contrino (Sebastian Contrino); his great grandchild Norah Marie; and his grandchildren, Nathaniel Joel Contrino and Emily Youens of Springfield, VA.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pettit-Davis Funeral Home (371 W Milton Ave, Rahway, NJ 07065). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cloverleaf Memorial Park.
In Lieu of flowers donations could be made to the NJ Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park, or to St. Jude Research Hospital.
