He was predeceased by: his parents, Jakob and Magdalena; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Bob (Carol), Tom (Sharlene) and Jennifer (Ruben); his grandchildren, Jacob, Rachel, Richard, Catherine, Joshua and Samuel; and his great grandchildren, Danny, Luke, Noah, Quinn and Nicholas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Jake's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the RSD Syndrome Association or The First Presbyterian Church of Avenel in recognition of his lifelong commitment to charitable works.
