It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Mae Smith (Rahway, New Jersey), who passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elsie Mae Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ernest Smith and Ella Anabelle Stewart-Smith; and her siblings, Henry Smith Jr., Omega Smith and Marilyn Daniels.
She is survived by: her son Randy C. Smith (Catherine); her grandchildren, Tyrrell Smith and Chloe Smith; her daughter-in-law Catherine Smith; and her sisters, Willie Torain, Doris Huntley and Adrey White. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Elsie had a kind and loving heart and never failed to make donations to multiple organizations including Lupus Foundation, Cancer Research Foundation, Seeing Eye Dog Foundation for the blind and International funding for children in need. Elsie developed Dementia/Alzheimer's later in her life and was supported and cared for by her son, Randy Smith, her daughter in law, Catherine Smith along with her grandson Tyrrell and granddaughter, Chloe Smith.
