He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Grant Smith and Eugene Jones; his stepfather Willie Smith; and his sister Arilandrean "Lannie" Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio.. He is survived by: his wife Janice Grant; his children, Alan "AJ" Grant of Rahway, NJ and Brandy Dotson of Cincinnati, Ohio; his grandsons, Alan Dotson, Alex Dotson, Royal Dotson and Sir Dotson; and his siblings, Gail Grant Coleman (Vincent), Etonia Smith, William L. King, Jr. (Junko), Johnnie L. Grant (Christine), Jeffrey Grant, Ennis Smith (Jonathan), Stephon Smith (Donna) and Tyrone Smith (Carrie). He is also survived by uncles, aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home (275 W Milton Ave, Rahway, NJ 07065). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
