He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen; and his brother Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Besser; and his sons, Mitchell Besser (Annie) of Los Angeles, Andrew Besser (Joannie) of Los Angeles and Richard Besser (Jeanne) of New York. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
