He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Halpern and Sonia Halpern (Handelsman). He is survived by: his wife Sheila L. Halpern (Handelman); his children, Benjamin Halpern and Kate Halpern Fisher; his son-in-law Scott Fisher; and his grandchildren, Ethan Nolin-Halpern, Ava Nolin-Halpern, Alexander Fisher and Claire Fisher.
