He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas F. Spillane and Betty Spillane (Higgins). He is survived by: his daughter Patricia "Trish" (Tim Schaffer) of West Caldwell; his wife Barbara; his children, Thomas Jr. (Stephanie Spillane) of Rockaway Township and Melanie (Shelby Tuhari) of Wayne; his grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Luke Schaffer, TJ (Thomas III), Tyler, Mackenzie Spillane, Justin, Shelby and Chelsea Tuhari; and his siblings, Patty (late Tony Licastri) of Hillsborough Township, Jeane (Ralph Pacheco) of Rutherford, Mark (Lisa Spillane) of Sparta and Susan (Richard Schneider) of Hillsboro Township.
Even in 2020, with the COVID-19 pandemic making it impossible to get together, Tom and his friends would virtually chat.
