Phyllis Rutkowski Obituary
We bid farewell to Phyllis Rutkowski of Pompton Plains, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 25, 2024 at the age of 89. Phyllis touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Lee Rutkowski of Walton, NY, Mark Rutkowski (Andrea) of Ringwood, Scott Rutkowski (Aspasia) of Pinebush, NY and Jennifer Miltenberg (Andrew) of Franklin Lakes; her grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, Jake, Ava, Jacob, Isabel, Jack, Scott, Jennifer and James; and her brother Allen Tirone.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial (530 High Mountain Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Most Blessed Sacrament RC Church (787 Franklin Lake Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417). A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at the Christ the King Cemetery (980 Huron Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Phyllis's name to The Dementia Society of America, dementiasociety.org.
