It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa J. Elkas of Pompton Plains, New Jersey, born in Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Dr. John Elkas; her aunts, Vivian Nicol and Dolores Snyder; and her uncle Dr. Robert Elkas. She is survived by: her mother Regina Mrozinski; her brother John C. Elkas (Kim) of Great Falls, VA; her nieces, Emily and Olivia; her nephew Mason; her sister Jenifer Elkas of Red Bank, NJ; her nephew Jonathan; and her niece Julie Anne.
In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be made in Melissa's memory to Pequannock Animal Shelter which would be greatly appreciated.
