Margaret Whitehead Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Whitehead (Pompton Plains, New Jersey), born in Woodbridge, New Jersey, who passed away on March 6, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandson Ryan Whitehead. She is survived by: her husband Bert Whitehead; her daughter Denise Jenkins of Rhode Island; her daughters-in-law, Kathy Whitehead of Manchester, NJ and Vivian Whitehead of California; and her sons, Robert and Michael. She is also survived by grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home (781 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444). A graveside service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Redeemer Cemetery (90 Chapel Rd, Mahwah, NJ 07430).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (https://www.lls.org) in memory of Margaret.
