He is survived by: his wife Rose Engel; his son Gregory MacSweeney (Melissa Stelmasik); his sister Mary Bavalia (Pari); and his grandchildren, Colin, Kaitlyn and Ryleigh.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory to the Parkinson's Foundation would be greatly appreciated by his family.
