He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Monroe and Catherine Monroe; his daughter-in-law Donna Mulroy; his siblings, Robert Monroe, William "Jimmy" Monroe, Catherine Manitta and Margaret Peters; his wife Bessie; his stepdaughter Francine; and his sister Muriel Koch. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.
