She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband David Hagel; her children, Glenn Hagel (Denise) and Mark Hagel (Roxanne); her grandchildren, Lucas Paul Hagel and Katelyn Nicole Hagel; her brother Ronald Straut; and her parents, John Straut and Dorothy Straut. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan's memory to The Genealogical Society of Bergen County in Midland Park or Alpine Learning Group in Paramus in honor of her grandson.
