He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nicholas DeRuiter and Marie DeRuiter; his wife Joyce; his children, Brian (Kerri DeRuiter) of Fair Lawn, NJ, Jennifer (Daniel Beato) of Pompton Lakes, NJ and Toni Ann DeRuiter of Seaside Heights, NJ; his grandchildren, Brandon, Faith, Josiah, Gideon, Moriah and Evangeline; his siblings, Mary Ann Gacek and Robert Gacek; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne, Mieke Hook, Ralph, Marion Hook, Donald, Debbie Hook, Allen, Marnie Hook and Russell Hook.
