He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rev. Richard and Henrietta Rienstra (DeBoer); his wife Mae Lois Bangma; his daughter Candice; his brother Dr. John Rienstra; his sister-in-law Marchiene; his brother Rev. Richard Rienstra; his sister-in-law Carol; his sister Jeanne Rienstra; his daughter Richelle Rienstra Stone (Gerald Stone); his grandchildren, Alexander, Miranda and Richard; his daughter Karen Rienstra Borduin (Bruce); and his grandchildren, Joshua, Garrett and Karlee.
He bought a condo in Rockaway, NJ, where he lived for 5 years until he made his last move to Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains a month before the pandemic in 2020.
