She was predeceased by: her parents, John Monaghan and Catherine Monaghan; her son Brian O'Connor; and her siblings, John, Edward, Michael Monaghan and Margaret Doyle.

She is survived by: her husband Michael J. O'Connor; her sons, Michael O'Connor (Margaret) and Sean (Michelle); her sister Kathleen McGoldrick; her grandchildren, Brian (Ashley), Joe (Dominique), Tim (Darby), Dan, Pete, Jack, Marty, Michael (Courtney), Kevin (Anneliese), Tom and Mary; and her great grandchild Ciaran.
