He was predeceased by: his siblings, William, Charles, Walter, Robert, Richard, Claire Scott and Ann Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Frederick W. Spreen, III (Caroll), Marianne Kaiser (Wayne), Robin Ann Hepp (Rich), Paul Spreen (Mindy) and Ryan Spreen (Jennifer); his siblings, John, Daniel, Joseph Spreen and Margaret Kruger; and his grandchildren, Conner, Kaeleigh, Kendall Spreen, Jessica, Rachel, Erica Kaiser, Rylie Hepp, Jack, Erin, Will Spreen, Annie, Lucy and Leo Spreen.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred's memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association .
