He was predeceased by: his parents, Antoine Gagnon and Marie Gagnon; and his wife Joan. He is survived by: his children, Joyce Brody (Richard), Kris Gagnon (Gail), Carol Dempsey (Guy) and Sandra Vazquez (Rick); his grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Rebecca, Mark, Melissa, Christopher, Henry and Isabella; and his great grandchildren, Claire, Piper, Emma, Oliver and Samantha.
