He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Wright and Walter Wright; his wife Darlene S. Wright; his son James A. Wright; and his siblings, Harry, Kenneth Wright and Margaret D. Studevan.

He is survived by: his children, Aaron (Tina), Kelly (Deanna), Sir Donte, Pamela Wright (Brian) and DaNay Young (Anthony); his brothers, Howard and Melvin Wright (Barbara); and his grandsons, Brandon Figaro and James Wright.
