With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pearl Ardella Whiting (Pleasantville, New Jersey), born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, who passed away on August 23, 2019 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her daughter-in-law Diane Hands of Georgia; her parents, Eva M. Whiting-Gibson and James A. Whiting, Jr. (Crabdaddy); her siblings, Dr. Eva M. Whiting Stewart (Baby Sis) and James A. Whiting, III (Duke); her brothers-in-law, Timothy C. Stewart, Sr. and Eddie Stokelin, Sr.; and her niece Crystal Lewis.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence M. Hands, Sr.; her children, Pearl L. Hands of Pleasantville, William Hands (Bro) of Pleasantville, Lawrence M. Hands, Jr. of Atlantic City, Ralph Hands of Pleasantville, Dwayne Hands of Atlantic City and Charles Hands (Shaeed) of Atlantic City; her daughter-in-law Delores Hands of Mays Landing; her great great grandchildren, San, Barts and Amaya Hands; her great grandchild Shadirah Hands; and her siblings, Nancy Stokelin of Atlantic City, Wayne F. Gibson of New York, Lillie Jackson (Dolly) and Arlean Hears. She is also survived by six children; 31 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
