She was predeceased by: her parents, Iris Rankine (Turner) and Harvey Rankine; her children, Jermaine White and Iman Celena Brown; and her siblings, Delroy Rankine and Eula Lee Grant.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur Simms; her children, Kevin Williams (Suzanne), Andre, Marvin White, Totlin White Blake (Ryan), Stacey Ann White (Green) and Roxanne Royal; her siblings, Edward, Enos, Joseph, Derrick Rankine, Norma Thompson, Enid Samuels (Oswald), Mary Walker (Lawrence), Edith Gaines (Patrick), Violet, Sonia Rankine and Grace Murray; and her stepchildren, Omar and Tamar Simms. She is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
