Waites, Jr. and Valentine Howell; her grandson Yusef AbdurRahim Blake; her siblings, Wilhelmae Johnson, Sidney (Collins), Lee Robert, Samuel, Morris, Matthew, Mark and Robert Jr.; her son-in-law Morris Griffin; her nephews, Baxter Bashir White and Kevin Lamar White; and her niece Sharon Yvette White.
She is survived by: her children, Lavette Denise White, Debra Waites-Griffin, E. Joseph Waites III, Tara Janelle Waites and Lorne Jalal'uddin Johnson; her grandchildren, Nadirah P. Waites, Alexander Griffin II and Edwin J. Waites IV; her great grandchildren, Ihsanah N. Williams and Chloe C. Waites; her siblings, Clinton Lewis, Olivet White and Barbara McGlocking; her sisters-in-law, Joyce White and Jamesetta White; and her goddaughters, Karimah White and LaToya Inman. She is also survived by 11 nieces; 11 other nephews; 27 great-nieces; 30 great-nephews; and a host of cousins, other loved ones and friends.
