He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Taft, (Weir) and Frederick J. Taft, Sr.; his wife Valerie Taft (Wycallis); his son Gary Taft; and his siblings, Thomas Taft and Mary Lou Thomas.
He is survived by: his siblings, Albert Taft and Phyllis Pesotine; his son Jerry Taft (Laurie); his grandchildren, Nicholas Taft (Jessica), Briana Flis (Greg) and Steven Taft; and his great grandchildren, Greyson James, Lila Valerie and Kira Marie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the M. J. Murphy Funeral Home (616 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 4:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Cross Burial Park (840 Cranbury - South River Rd, Jamesburg, NJ 08831).
