He was predeceased by: his parent Thad Wilson Hurdle, Sr.; and his siblings, Gail Hurdle, Thad, Jr., Tyrone and Harold.

He is survived by: his mother Norma Ruggles Hurdle; his former wife Marilyn Louise Thompson; his wife Marilyn "Bunny" Hurdle; his children, Lamour Harvey, Norman Hurdle, Jr. and Alicia "Lisa" Riddick; his stepchildren, Davi Claiborne and Tonyelle L. Thompson; his siblings, Norma "Noni", Shirley Hurdle and Theodore "Teddy" Hurdle; and his aunts, Patricia Brown and Estelle Alexander. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; two plus great grandchildren.
