He is survived by: his wife Candee Doherty (Sieke) of Piscataway; his children, Siobhan Doherty of Piscataway, Michael Doherty of Jersey City and Kevin Doherty (Cara) of Somerset; his sister Julia Schneider (Edward) of Annadale; his grandson Declan; and also Michael Kontos of Piscataway. He is also survived by niece, nephews and many cousins.
