She was predeceased by: her parents, Miiler Sterling and Annie Lou Sterling (Jones); and her siblings, Charles, Josephus, James, Richard, Harold, Jerry Neal Sterling, William Rogers, Francis Sterling, Georgia Mae Freeman, Bettye Mathis and Linda Fields.

She is survived by: her daughter Renee Sterling Washington (Frederick); and her granddaughter Alicia Renee Turner (Elissa). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
