She was predeceased by: her parents, James Toms and Callie Burke; her husband Joseph Armstrong, Sr.; her sons, Jerry and Elton Armstrong; her grandson Isaiah Armstrong; and her brother Floyd Wiggins.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Armstrong, Jr. and Josephine Armstrong; and her siblings-in-law, Alvania Wiggins, Delois Hawthorne, Willie Mae Armstrong and William Armstrong. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
