James Ronald Rawles Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ronald Rawles (Plainfield, New Jersey), who passed away on March 22, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mothers, Thomas Louis Rawles, Sr. and Minnie Williams Rawles; his brothers, Thomas L. Rawles Jr., Willie C. Rawles Sr., Quinton Rawles Sr. and Lonnie Rawles; his son Eric Dickens; and his brothers-in-law, Donald L. Harris Sr. and Larry Davis.
He is survived by: his partner Andrea Braxton; his children, Fitzgerald Dickens, Ja'Da Rawles, Jasmine Lynn (Tino), Veronica Smith, Tamara Rawles, Charone Williams (Kenneth) and Shareff Braxton; his grandchildren, Zendaya Lynn, Hasson Hawkins, Christopher Williams, Marcus Williams, Sharese Braxton, Tatianna Braxton and Kashawn Braxton; his great grandchild Amiyah Hatcher; his siblings, Katie Harris, Deloris Hurston-Davis and Melvin Rawles (Joyce); his sisters-in-law, Belinda Langford Rawles, Brenda Rawles and Carla Rawles; and his uncle Curtis Williams (Jean). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ruth Fellowship Ministries (733 S 2nd St, Plainfield, NJ 07060). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
