It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Larry Barnett (Plainfield, New Jersey), born in Alton, Virginia, who passed away on December 7, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Barnett and Ernest Barnett; his siblings, Ernest Jr., Edgar Llewellyn Barnett and Frances Cunningham; and his sister-in-law Elzoria Crane.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Reeves; his sons, Darrell, James, Larry and Chester Barnett; his stepdaughter Shonett Colbert; his siblings, John Barnett (Lois), William Barnett (Corethia), Marva Jones and Alma Watkins; and his sisters-in-law, Michele Davenport (Jerome) and Barbara Reeves. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
