We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2021, at the age of 78, Herbert Spann (Plainfield, New Jersey), born in Darlington, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Samuel; his brothers, David Samuel, Jr. and Herman Samuel; and his niece Felicia Williams. He is survived by: his uncle Herb; his wife Grace; his children, Dionne (Howard) and Derrick (Sharon); his grandchildren, Zahnasia Spann, Jaida Johnson, Amari Spann and Zanylah Roberson; his sister Lena Young; his niece Tonya (Shay); and his nephews, James Spann, Harold Williams, Anthony Samuel, Darnell Samuel and Thomas Young, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Even during times of social distancing, anyone who has suffered a loss deserves love and support more than ever before.
