He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine H. (George A. Darby, Sr.) and NJ; his daughter Shalinda Darby; his sisters, Toni M. Darby-Greene and Mary Jenkins-Young; his granddaughter Kayla D. Spooner; and his sister-in-law Donna Darby.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Petterway; his children, Ronnie Lyles, Tiawana Lyles, Violet Darby, George A. Darby, III (Tinicka) and Keisha Petterway; and his siblings, Anthony Darby, Cassandra Darby, Felicia Thompkins (Carl), David Darby (Annette) and Sybil Counts (Ronald). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (539 Trinity Pl, Westfield, NJ 07090). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
