It is with great sadness that we announce the death of DeLois Sherrod-Carter (Plainfield, New Jersey), born in Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Lee and Leareau Harris Sherrod; her husband Thomas Andrew Carter, Jr.; her sister Mildred Warren; and her sons, Thomas Andrew Carter, III and Stevens Jay Carter.
She is survived by: her siblings, Geraldine Baker-Henderson and Charlie Sherrod; her sister-in-law JoAnn Sherrod; her daughter Donna Marie Carter-Mial; her children-in-law, Donald W. Mial, Sr. and Carol Carter; her grandchildren, Thomas Carter, IV, Kellie Carter, Bryanna Carter, Stevens J. Carter, Jr., DeVette N. Thomas, DeMaris M. Young and Donald W. Mial, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Molly, Dakota, Darryl, III, Drew, Grabriel, Tyra, Gabbie, Kalari and Elijah. She is also survived by Nieces, Nephews.
