With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christine Magnolia Hunter (Plainfield, New Jersey), born in Newberry, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 12, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses Spearman and Clara Louise Davenport Spearman; her husband James Hunter, Sr.; and her daughters, Peggy Ann Haskins and Vonetta Jayne Hunter.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Sheryl D. Hunter, Sylvia Jean Spearman, Lisa Hunter, Jerry Hunter (Taiko), James Hunter, Jr. and Eddie Hunter; and her sisters, Clara Griffin (Peter), Nina Bookman, Mary Powell (Duke), Dorothy Wheeler and Alberta Boyd. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
