She was predeceased by: her son Gregory Smith; her parents, Joseph Smith and Bertha Smith; and her siblings, Samuel "Sammy", Joseph Smith, Vinney Stephens (James) and Anabell Jones (Howard).
She is survived by: her children, Sonia M. Jones (Robert), Beverly Jews (Jerry), Annette Johnson-Stepney (Sidney), Ralph Smith (Sarah), Willie Smith and David Johnson. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one sister Rose Hagans and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
