She is survived by: her children, Herbert Spann (Grace) and Lena Young; her grandchildren, Dionne Spann-Thomas, Harold Williams (Bo), Derrick Spann, Anthony Samuel, Tonya Young, Darnell Samuel and Thomas Young (Boobie); and her nieces and nephews, Lillian McDonald, Marcella Dubose, Barbara Dubose, Charles Dubose and Tyree Dubose.
