It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Currie Sr. of Plainfield, New Jersey, born in Valley Park, Mississippi, who passed away on May 26, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Essie and John Currie, Sr.; and his siblings, Eddy Mae Mack, Willie Mae Currie, John Currie, Jr., Anthony Lee Currie and Deandrew Currie.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth "Candy" Currie; his children, Eddie Currie, Ruthie Twine (Phil), Tawanda Brown (Willie), Allen Currie, Jr., Rickey Currie and Ronnie Currie (Cometris); his sister Florasteen Currie Carney; and his sister-in-law Rommie Lee Currie. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
