It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Merton Lilly (Plainfield, New Jersey), who passed away on April 1, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Nathalie Gwendolyn Lilly (Cox); his grandparents, Fitz Merton Cox, Sr. and Rebecca Cox (Smith); his wife Doris Geraldine Lilly (White); his son Michael; his father Alfred "Mickey" Lilly; his siblings, Guy Prentice Lilly, Sr., Ronald Dwight Hamilton, Caroline (Sullivan) and Adrienne Patrica Hamilton; his children, Gregory Lamonte Lilly, Sr., Alicia Denise Lilly, Avis Renee Lilly and Alan David Lilly (Sharree Latasha Tyler); his grandchildren, Alexis Renee Lilly, Gregory Lamonte Lilly, Jr., Sean William Lilly, Jerome Nariak Clark, Courtney Dominique Lilly, Zebudee Elijah Clark, Jamol Laquan Pyles, Jr., Taliah Ann Lilly and Gabrielle Alana Lilly; his great grandchild Jyrae Naz Lilly; his aunt Elsie Cox (Fryar); his sisters-in-law, Florence "Bunny" Kent and Pam Ann Doyle-Lilly; and his godson Timothy Cox. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nephews, great-great-nieces, family and friends.
