He was predeceased by: his grandson Jamar Johnson; and his sister Gosney of Maryland. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Byard; his daughter Jammie Johnson (Rick); his grandchildren, Rick, Brayerton, Nicholas and Lola; and his siblings, Harry J. Byard (Virgie) and Freddie Toth (Joe).
