She was predeceased by: her mother Anna Platt; and her daughter Leanne Shainline. She is survived by: her husband Eugene Sinnema; her daughters, Ellen Filbey (Stephen) of Alloway, NJ, Barbara P. Sinnema of Pittsgrove, NJ and Trish Caldwell (Richard) of Alloway, NJ; her grandchildren, Erin Talarico (Kevin), Ryan Shainline (Stephanie), Ashley Brinneman (Marc), Gregory Filbey (Danna), Stephanie Wright (Jack), Brooke Layman (Patrick) and Paige Caldwell; and her great grandchildren, Griffin Shainline, Mackenzie Talarico, Brayden Talarico, Theo Brinneman, Isaac Brinneman and Lincoln Layman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Barbara's memory to the Emanuel Lutheran Church, PO Box 363, Elmer, NJ 08318.
