He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Porten and Connie Porten; and his brother Bennett Porten. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Porten; his children, Joshua Porten (Melissa), Jason Porten and Jennifer Porten; and his grandsons, Matthew, Jacob, Joel, Jason and Tyler.
