He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin P. Bakely and Margaret Bakely; his brothers, Wallace, Laurence and Reverend Donald Bakely; and his daughter-in-law Kim Bakely.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn W. Bakely (Williams); his children, Richard, Bruce and Laurence; his grandson Kenneth; and his sisters, Joyce Higgins and Anita Colts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
