We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2024, Jennifer Karen Martin (Pitman, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband Matthew Patrick Martin; her children, Kathleen Anne Martin, Patrick Walker Martin and Jason Thomas Martin; her parents, Donna III (Shipe) and Howard Walker III; and her brothers, David Walker (Jodi) and Marc Walker. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salem Community College Scholarship Foundation, salemcc.edu/scc-foundation in honor of her commitment to lifelong learning and to her students.

“I just learned of Jennifer's passing, and it's devastating news. I worked alongside Jennifer at the NJ Association for Developmental Education for years, and we traded President and Past-President positions for several of them. My deepest condolences to her husband and children. I can't imagine being deprived of such a light. She was an amazing professor I would try recruiting to my college every few years. She was in all aspects a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew her.”
