He was predeceased by: his parent Harry J. Amos Sr.; his spouse Dorothy Jane; and his brothers, Duke, John "Gus", David and Robert.

He is survived by: his parent Henrietta E.; his daughters, Ginni Groody (Michael) and Susan Lee; his grandchildren, Donna (Chad), Michele (Jared), Danielle (Brian) and Stephanie; his great grandchildren, Erin, Keely, Coleman, Chase, Colleen and Campbell; and his sisters-in-law, Pearl Amos, Rosemary Amos and Rose Johnson.
