Though Sylvia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sylvia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin F. Zaballero; her parents, Gustavo Sancho and Lourdes Sancho (Villamil); and her grandson Brian Camacho. She is survived by: her children, Josefina Hammond (Dan) of Ionia, Michigan and Jaime Zaballero (Angelina) of Piscataway; her sister Sally Sancho; and her grandchildren, Kristine Rodriguez (Danny), Anna Sewell, Kevin Zaballero (Nancy) and Katherine Lopez (Matthew). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (499 New Market Rd, Piscataway, NJ 08854).
