He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Yock and Frank Yock; his wife Roseann; his sister Arlene; and his former wife Pat.

He is survived by: his brother Frank; his sons, Michael (Susan), Gregory Richard (Jeannie) and Richard Joseph (Tara); his grandchildren, Leanne, Kelly and Samantha; and his great grandchildren, Giovanni, Conor and Declan.

In pre-pandemic years, he volunteered at RWJ Hospital in Somerville, wheeling patients out upon discharge, cracking jokes the whole time.
