He was predeceased by: his father Michael J. Cortese. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Cortese (Izzo) of Piscataway; and his sisters, Margaret Smith of Gillette, Nancy Gaston of Branchburg and Susan Kelemen of Tewksbury Township. He is also survived by two nieces and three nephews.
